What I Read in 2018

2018books

Hard to believe I started keeping track of my books online way back in 2008. Fast forward a decade and Goodreads is still my go-to for quickly tracking what I’ve read. Even though I don’t write many reviews anymore, the star rating can quickly bring to mind what I liked/didn’t like about a particular title. Also, I don’t track books I’ve re-read during any given year, although that might be a fun feature.

While my goal was to read 40 books in 2018, I came in around 23. Meaning anything that wasn’t a picture book. Not surprisingly I read a lot of middle grade novels (my latest favorite genre for the past two years) and squeaked in a couple adult books. Many of these books I listed to as audiobooks, which is so handy when also trying to get other household tasks accomplished. Overall, I’d say it was an okay reading year. Not stellar, but not horrible. Cheers to more reading in 2019!
