When you hear the term babymoon, it usually conjures some exotic vacation while a couple is awaiting baby; swollen belly and luxuriating in a glorious getaway. Which is not what this book conveys at all. Rather, it beautifully portrays the hallowed weeks following the birth of a new baby, when a family cocoons, shutting off the outside world for the briefest moment to savor the newness of becoming acquainted with a tiny human. It reminds me of the December we spent together when our second daughter was born. In truth, BABYMOON exudes joy at every page turn.
